Adventures In Crossdressing Wildside Las Vegas
My good friend and contributor here Samantha Rogers from Detroit is back once again to tell us all about her latest adventure and I gotta say..I am pretty dam jealous. Samantha attended one of the biggest & wildest CD/TG Events in the world called Wildside in Las Vegas . Lucky for us she is here to tell us all about it..So Samantha...How was Wildside???
Your Motor City Maniac has been on the road this Spring visiting with good friends at a couple of the top TG events in the country and having way too much fun!
In April a posse of us Michigan girls made the trek to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to take part in The fabled Keystone conference and what a great time it was! The best part of these large conferences is always the chance to meet up in real life with all the great girlfriends we make online and Keystone was no exception as we partied with many of the best and most awesome girls from New York, Philadelphia, Boston and all up and down the Eastern seaboard. It was simply amazing meeting these gorgeous, smart and sexy women and getting to know them personally in ways that just are not possible online. And the events and seminars were a special treat as well, not to mention the after hours suite parties going on into the early morning. It was a rocking good time. As usual, the Michigan girls sought out a hot club for dancing as well. People are starting to learn that when the girls from the D are in town dancing is always a priority. LOL
But as much as we all loved Keystone with the luncheons and especially the final ball and the chance to don our most elegant glad rags, nothing, but nothing, compares with with what we encountered a month later.
Nine years ago, a small group of some seven girls decided to meet up in Las Vegas for a party that wasn't about luncheons and seminars. These were girls who were not interested in blending or going stealth but rather in strutting their gorgeous selves through the city that never sleeps and making a grand splash of a party. That party they called Wildside. Last year the event had grown to 125 of the most beautiful and sexy girls you can imagine, many coming from overseas. This year, Wildside topped two hundred girls and the Michigan posse was in attendance. OMG...talk about intimidating at first! These girls rock and they are are absolutely stunning and totally unafraid. Your humble writer felt like the ugly stepsister sneaking into the ball...haha. But everyone was so welcoming and sweet that we were soon at ease and, let me tell you...this event is a rocker from beginning to end. In short, the Michigan girls felt right at home. No one, and I mean no one, missed the seminars and luncheons at all. It would have been impossible to find the time! I swear I averaged an hour or two of sleep per night and I would not have had it any other way. When something this crazy cool is going on you don't want to miss a moment!
Seven of us made the trip from Michigan, including Stacy K from Toledo, Jennifer Tate, Chelsea, Staci from Lansing, and the fabulous and talented Cindy Elmwood. Wing girl and bestie Donna and I arrived Wednesday morning, unfortunately missing the Tuesday activities which included a meet and greet plus a lingerie party that night. Some girls, notably a squad from England even arrived on Sunday! Kerry Nope, a particularly gorgeous blond from England, may have been rocking Vegas as early as Saturday! But we were there in time for the pool party Wednesday afternoon and what a treat that was!
The event centers around one hotel but unlike other big functions, activities are all over town. The pool party was one of the few scheduled daytime events since days are usually left purposefully open so girls can get out and shop or get makeovers or just explore Vegas, where just about anything goes and where girls are hardly looked at twice but rather simply viewed as part of the local “color”. Of course some smart girls use the late afternoon to catch up on much needed sleep since the party goes ALL night at Wildside.
But the pool party at the Tropicana was our first function and it as so awesome to begin meeting so many of the wonderful West Coast girls we had talked to online for so long... Katherine Dee and Kimberly Wells and many more from from LA... Kelli Sensuelle, Brandie Diamond, Megan Taylor, Kaelyn Dreyer and Shelly Manning from Sacramento, girls from Seattle, Portland, Arizona, Utah, Colorado and beyond...plus all the local girls who call Vegas home these days, and many who had ventured in from the East Cost such as the stunning Marie Ruth Lamonte. Not to mention the plethora of gals in from England (they came in a bunch...lol) and a few even from Australia! And then there was the chance to meet a few icons of the TG world such as the fabulous CiCi Kytten who proved just as stunning in person as in pics (and nice as can be as well!) and the so seductive and dangerous Divinyl Fatale from out in the blue grass of kinky Kentucky. Oh, I could go on and still never mention all the lovely women we met.
Wednesday night allowed no time for us to stop as the party shifted from the pool at the Trop to the Golden Nugget down on Fremont Street where Wildside kittens overwhelmed and took control of the Gold Digger room on the second floor. There we found a marvelous dance floor with awesome sound, a super bar, and a spectacular, large open veranda looking down on the madness of Fremont Street below! I think there were some girls who never left the balcony while others danced the night away inside. It was so hard not to feel ones head spinning surrounded as we were by gorgeous transwomen on all sides. Oh my, what a great night it was. Or morning, I should say, as it was certainly morning as the party began to slowly break apart. What with the time change from Detroit, Donna and I found ourselves at one point realizing we had been awake for 28 hours straight, and yet no where near ready to stop the ride. But stop we did eventually and made our way back to the Trop only to find another gaggle of girls now continuing the party at the lounge there...so of course, we joined them for another drink. Haha I believe the clock read 630 or 7 AM when my head finally hit the pillow
.
But this is Wildside! A mere two hours later we were dragging our skinny butts into the shower to start another day!
Donna and I had the pleasure when we were at Keystone of meeting an awesome artist named Amy who is sooo talented with makeovers. As it happens she calls Vegas home so when we knew we would be in town we both scheduled appointments with Amy at her Just You studio there. OMG she is soooo awesome. Donna and I both felt we had neither of us looked better in our lives. Thanks you, Amy!
And it was a perfect night to look good, of course, because Thursday night is the night of the fabled Rockstar bus tour!
Around six or six-thirty the entire contingent of beauties boarded a trio of luxurious limo party buses, aptly named Classy, Sexy and Fabulous. Somebody obviously made a huge mistake as Donna and I found ourselves on the “classy” bus haha. But even those who registered too late to be included among the three main buses still were able to tag along either in additional limos or, in one case, in a fire engine red convertible Mustang! What a sight those divas were tooling around Vegas in style! But whether in a private ride or on the bus, the entire group set off for our first destination...the Welcome to Las Vegas sign at the South end of the strip. Now it was easy enough to position seven girls in front of this sign so many years ago, but with two hundred to position this year OMG talk about herding cats...look closely with a microscope and you can pick out faces (yes, both Donna and I are in there) but the real power of the picture is in the spectacularly epic nature of two hundred stunning sirens all grouped together having the time of their lives.
Once some form of order had been drawn from that anarchy, and an appropriate number of takes had been managed (and then Air-dropped to everyone's smart phones) it was time to re board the buses and set off for out next destination.
Now a word about the buses....tee hee...
These were not your typical Greyhound affair with complacent citizens sitting quietly watching the road roll by...far from it! These were rolling parties with adult beverages lubricating the way and dancing from the poles (and sometimes in laps) all the way...oh, my! The soccer moms in their age appropriate clothing would most likely have rolled their eyes but not the kittens of Wildside. Every girl on every bus was rocking and reeling and having the most awesome time imaginable. A whirling tornado of scantily clad hotness screaming giddily toward the next unsuspecting casino. And that casino, happily for we Michigan girls, turned out to be The D, Vegas' own take on the almighty Detroit, done Vegas style of course. I must confess we devoured the fare in the gift store there like hungry locusts inhaling a fresh crop. More than one of us returned home sporting a new pink tank top labeled The D.
Next stop was the one everyone was waiting for, though.
Next up was the splendidly over the top opulance of the Cosmopolitan and the Wildside Grand Entrance. Buses pulled up at the doors to this palace of extravagant elegance and two hundred hot kittens unloaded to then parade en masse through the grand foyer, stopping civilians in their tracks, causing cameras to explode with inability to handle the heat and raising the overall temperature of Vegas by several degrees. It was AWESOME! The rest of that night was spent upstairs at the Cosmo where the tribe unfurled itself in splendour amongst diamond encrusted bars and opulent couches, sipping magnificent martinis and living life to the fullest. What a grand night it was!Beyond grand...it was positively electric, magical, fantastical and fabulous beyond all words. It was Wildside at its best!
So awesome was that night that even after dragging themselves away in the early hours of dawn many girls still wound up back in the lounge at the trop, yet unwilling to bid goodnight to such a night as this.
Friday dawned, understandably, sometime later that afternoon. Some weary souls were spotted dragging themselves home in last nights clothing, hair astray and makeup in disrepair, carrying their heels as they made their way back to their rooms as late as one that afternoon. Can you say “the walk of shame” ? Lol
And a side word about that...yes, there is more than a degree of that sort of thing that occurs at Wildside...of course. Some have joked that a visit to a clinic might be a good final event for the week but only in jest. The majority of the week is totally innocent fun...though there are numerous offsite private parties that go on as well as private suite parties. It is Vegas after all. But no one holds a gun to anyone's head either. Buyer beware...tee hee
Friday night was scheduled for the Piranha nightclub, a gay dance club not far off the strip. But since, as is the case with dance clubs everywhere, the best dance floor action does not happen till late, several off site invitational parties were in swing earlier in the evening. Donna and I made our way to an affair hosted by the same Amy who had done our makeovers. Food and drink were on hand and a host of the hippest Wildsiders were there to make good company. Don't even ask me to tell you what was going on upstairs....I didn't dare peak...but OMG...no, I can't even go there...lol
Soon enough we were on our way to the big event at Piranha. Now Piranha actually has three spaces or more within the same club. The main entrance opens onto one room with a bar and dance floor but to the right there is another room with separate dance floor. In addition, off the front there is an open air garden area. But the dance area off to the right includes a second floor balcony that rings the entire floor downstairs. It was this semi private upstairs to which the Wildside girls made their way to hold court the rest of the evening dancing, drinking, posing and preening, partying and having an altogether amazing night. Once more, the festivities went on until the sun was rising in the East.
By Saturday a certain somberness was beginning to lay hold as many realized this wild ride was nearing its end. Many girls lazed around the pool that afternoon, quietly contemplating their last night in paradise.
Saturday night befell us and the girls gathered for one last rocking good time this time all together in the main lounge at the Tropicana. A hot and sassy band was on hand to keep us all rocking as last minute stragglers continued to arrive joining the wearing but willing group who had partied all week. No one wanted to miss a minute. And no one did... the party went on all night with dancing, drinks, camaraderie and good times most will remember for a lifetime. And by the morning hours of Sunday some girls were seen to be making their way to the airport still wearing the remnants of their party splendor from the final Saturday night. Donna and I, no veterans of several big events, had planned ahead and the majority of our gear was already packed before we left for the gathering Saturday. So when we straggled in early Sunday morning it was no difficult task to grab a quick nap , shower and throw the remaining things into a bag before making the sad trip to the airport. Never was a long flight home more gratefully received than by these two sleep starved Detroit Divas.
But not all departed Sunday...no, some hardy souls stayed on wringing every last minute from their stay. Rumor has it that stalwart English belle Kerry Nope may still be in Vegas even now...or at least her spirit...partying the night away and living life to the nth degree.
It has been said that Wildside can be life changing...that more than one girl has gone there and gone home to go full time. I well believe it.I can tell you one thing...next year...the tenth anniversary...this girl will be there Sunday to Sunday. And that is not up for negotiation. Not even close.
Hope to see you there!

Adventures In Crossdressing The Detroit Invasion Vol 2
My friend Samantha Rogers from Detroit always keeps me ( and you) up to date with all of her adventures and outings. Seems Michigan is slowly turning into a destination on the cd/tg bucket list of things to do and places to see. Samantha is now hosting her own events and they are GROWING in reputation. Growing so much that she is already planning the NEXT big invasion and is here now to tell us all how her April event went...so Samantha ...how was the INVASION??
As some will recall, last January we hosted a mob of out of town girls for what was dubbed the Detroit Tgirl Invasion. See That HERE About a dozen girls rolled into the D for a visit, coming from several nearby states. And, as a result, a large number of our local girls turned out to welcome them in true Detroit style with a wild party that Saturday night. Roughly a hundred girls had such an awesome time that weekend that, of course, we had to do it again!
Last April we hosted our second Detroit Invasion and our sophomore turnout was delightful! Crazy Kavina rolled in from central Ohio, along with amazing Ally from Cleveland along with delightful Danielle, tantalizing Tasha from Wheeling and a host of other girls from all over the Midwest. Some of our friends from the Erie sisters group arrived from Pennsylvania and New York. And our awesome sister Chell made the trek from PA as well bringing her zany humor with her to the delight of everyone! In all, about two or three dozen girls made the trek, coming from Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York and Canada. It was awesome. And, of course, they were joined both Friday and Saturday night by many members of our local South East Michigan scene. And let me tell you, kittens, Detroit and the surrounding area has no shortage of girls. From crossdressers to transexuals, the local TG scene is large and thriving, both in support groups, resources and in places to just have fun!
So, as everyone began to arrive Friday night, we gathered the early arrivals for a quick bite at a Red Robin. This particular restaurant has an added “wrinkle” (pun intended) since it also offers a delightfully distinguished older gentleman who performs magic tricks for your entertainment table side. So much fun! Though I'm not sure how common it is for him to be entertaining a group of ladies such as he did that night...haha. But he was a great sport and quite charming and everyone had a good time.
After dinner, it was time to visit Detroit's own TG version of Cheers. The Adams Apple is a small and lovely, welcoming bar owned and operated by Sammie's good friend the awesome Jaye Marie. Jaye is a gorgeous and sexy transwoman who bought the bar a few years back and has made it a welcoming home for all TG girls. Drinks are cheap, conversation is relaxed and easy, and Jaye usually sets out some food in the back, knowing full well that many of us have skipped dinner in the mad rush to get made up for a big night. A stop at Adams Apple is absolutely mandatory on the itinerary of anyone visiting the D.
But soon enough, it was time to dance! So the group piled into cars and made their way to our newest awesome dance club and cabaret, Inferno! Inferno occupies the same space as the old Stilettos which closed its doors earlier this year. But the resemblance ends there. New owner John Brisson, coming from a background in New York clubs, spent an extraordinary amount of money completely refurbishing and glamorizing the joint and what a job has been done! The site now sports two large rooms, one an awesome dance floor complete with dry ice fog, and state of the art sound and lighting, and the other a cabaret format for nightly drag shows fronted often by the amazing and beautiful Bentley James. One last word about Inferno....the staff are out of this world awesome! From the person watching the parking lot to the friendly and “willing to take requests” Djs to the bartenders and waitstaff (look for Michael behind the bar...such a handsome young guy and with a killer smile) to the owner himself. The staff of Inferno are dedicated to making sure everyone has an awesome time! And I am pretty sure everyone did, though the end of the night is a bit of a blur for this girl...lol...I think I had a good time...at least I made it home in one piece...haha
Friday night is a slower night here for local turnout, Saturday being the big night, but even so, Inferno saw a large turnout that night and everyone had a great time dancing the night away.
Saturday dawns slowly after a night on the town, as many of you know. Closing a bar at 2 and going to eat and then getting back home to remove the girl stuff often mens hitting the sheets around 4 AM (well, assuming one is doing so alone...tee hee) so Saturdays are a slow start haha...but by lunchtime girls are usually up and hungry and ready to get out so it was...of course, haha...off to a day at the mall, shopping and lunching and generally just having fun. Charming Charlies is always a favorite stop. If you don't have one near you, OMG, you are really missing out. This awesome little store is a chain devoted entirely to accessories – Scarves, jewelry, purses... you name it...and it is all color coded in sections of the store! Need that perfect red accent piece? Had to the red section. Need a “just right” silver clutch...head to the silver section. Prying the girls out of Charming Charlies was a chore but somehow we made it out, and hit a lot of stores. Some girls took the opportunity to have their nails done at the salon/spa while other browsed for deals at Macy's or one of the boutique stores. I can tell you THIS girl is a big fan of HM... just love those cheap euro chic styles...haha.
But as you all know, us girls like to “pretty up” for a big night, so the group dispersed for a few hours (some of us needed a nap, tee hee).
And then it was time for Saturday night, the big TG party night in the D. Everyone met up again at The Apple and quite a crowd it was. Lots of girls out that night to welcome the out of town elite.
But Saturday night is for dancing as we all know. And Saturday night in the D means only one thing...GiGis! Detroit's legendary gay dance bar that becomes a Tgirl nirvana every single Saturday night. Although somewhat run down now, the history and ambiance at GiGis makes it awesome. Oh the tales that could be told if those walls could talk...haha...maybe better they can't...tee hee. On any Saturday in the D you will find at least 30-40 girls at GiGis, but do not arrive too early... the party doesn't really start until late, usually around 1030 or 11, and things don't heat up totally till near midnight. Of course, if one is so inclined, there is, earlier in the evening, GiGi's awesome and famous drag cabaret going on in the downstairs room. And later in the evening, that crowd come upstairs and join the rest on the dance floor an the party literally explodes. On this particular night Gigi's was totally wild and packed to the gills with girls dancing, talking, partying and having an amazing, awesome time. I looked around several times and could not contain my joy at seeing so many girls just so freaking happy to be alive. In our world, with all the difficulties that so often plague our struggle to simply be ourselves, happiness is often in short supply. When you can look around a room and see 100 girls not only happy, but relaxed, content and having the time of their lives...well it is a feeling I cannot describe, but it is good...its all good...its freaking awesome.
But all things must end. The bar closed at 2 or thereabouts, and girls slowly started drifting slowly away. Some made their way to all night eateries needing to recharge their batteries or simply unwilling to see the night end. More than a few tears were shed among some sad goodbyes. Sammie? Well Sammie was beat and opted to make a tidy exit back to my room where a frozen pizza was waiting with a bottle of Bombay Sapphire to ease me into a welcome rest. I doubt I had slept but an hour or two Friday night and I was beat. But OMG what an awesome weekend it was. I was sad to see it end.
But guess what...so was everyone else. It seems the Detroit Invasion idea is such a hit girls want to make it a regular thing. And so we shall bow to popular demand!
Mark your schedules, kittens! July 23, 24 and 25 we will host our third event...Invasion Detroit MkIII...and this time we are knocking out the stops! Now starting on Thursday night we are planning a host of new activities. For the first time there will be a makeup and hair person on site at the Apple to assist, possibly a hair person as well, we are planning a photo shoot on the absolutely beautiful Belle Isle situated in the middle of the Detroit river separating our fabulous skyline on one side from that of our wonderful neighbors in Canada on the other. And ….shhh...if things work out...we may even do a party bus excursion to one of Detroit's hot casinos for an awesome night of dancing and partying there.
So listen up, girls...the party is in Detroit this July and you don't want to miss it...mark those schedules.
Detroit is in the house and the party is on. Invasion Mk III...July 23-25. More details will follow, so stay tuned!
And that's the report from Detroit. If I can get motivated, expect Sammie to put out a report next on the fabulous, over the top, TG event to top all TG events, the incredible Wildside in Las Vegas. I just returned from there and I can see why it changes lives...more on that to come...OMG it was AWESOME!!! Tee hee
Ciao, kittens!

Adventures In Crossdressing Raven Report Hitting The CD/TG Event Raven 24 New Hope PA April 10 & 11
"A New Beginning" was the theme & title for Raven 24 , a CD/TG event/party that takes place every few months in New Hope PA. They could have named it " Best One Yet", cause that's how I felt about it. . With the weather breaking and spring in the air girls once again from near and far , and a few inside deep closets, came out to enjoy another fun filled femme weekend of mixing , mingling, shopping, dancing & partying
You can not NOT have a good time at a Raven event, which is pretty much a 2 day all you can dress crossdressing buffett of goodness & fun and this one was no exception. I had a feeling this one was going to pop off big and it certainly did. From my landing in town early Friday afternoon to Brunch on Sunday a good time & positive vibes were felt by all who attended. Here is how it went down.
Friday as usual started with the meet & greet which takes place @ Sliders Grill inside the Ramada Hotel. Pretty self explanatory at this point..you meet...and you greet LOL. Here we mingled, socialized, shared a drink, caught up with old friends, and met some new ones too. Since I have already explained the rundown of a typical Raven weekend in an older post ( see that RIGHT HERE ) I am not going to write too much on my experience at Raven, but rather let most of the pictures do the talking for me...So...here is Friday at Raven 24 New Hope PA April 10th.
Sat. April 11 2015
After a nice breakfast in bed, eventually I arrived at the Cub Rooms Red Carpet Event. Since it WAS the Red Carpet, and gals are known for wearing fancy outfits & taking lots of pictures, I decided to have some fun and wear something a bit bold ( for me anyway ) and went with a tutu/tulle skirt, then edged it up a bit with a bright moto jacket and my favorite heeled combat boots to rough out the edges a bit..topped it off with pretty accessories, my favorite Betsey Johnson Bag and one of my classic ironic hipster tee's...hey it's Raven have fun right??
Some photos From The Red Carpet
After the Cub Room we headed across the street to the Poe Bistro & Lounge for dinner, & topped that off with some late night dancing & after parties. From this point on not many pictures were taken, we put the cameras down and continued to dance & party into the wee hours of the morning. !
If you would like more information on the Raven Events held By Jane Reynolds check this link out RIGHT HERE for all the info, hotels, restaurants, and a basic rundown of a typical Raven weekend. This is one of the best events on the east coast for the crossdressing & transgender community. Recommended for sure. xoxo
