So recently I had the pleasure of attending First Event..which is a CD/TG conference that took place just outside of Boston in Waltham Mass Jan 21rst - 25th. Now in it's 35th year First Event has turned into one of the largest gatherings of the trans community in the Unites States. I didn't take any pictures, I was having too much fun, but I will try to piece the event together .
I had a blast hanging with my girlfriends and meeting lots of new people. You know me... attending most of the parties and sleeping all day. Thursday night all the gals headed into Boston to Club Cafe, this place was a blast, and the DJ and sound system were GREAT ( I pay attention to these things)....
all day Friday I annoyed everyone saying HOW MUCH FUN WE HAD !
Friday me and some girls went off campus and ventured into the vanilla world for dinner then returned in time to act like the Fashion Police at The First Event Fashion Show. We sat in the back and loudly critiqued everything like our opinion actually mattered ( it doesn't) but it was pretty funny to us. We followed that up with some excessive partying and dancing in the ballroom. Since we were in Boston the drink of choice was Sam Adams...we were such tourists.
Saturday morning brought in a fresh coat of snow and a not so happy hangover. I am a sucker for a snow storm so I spent my morning sipping Starbucks watching the snow fall out the big but drafty windows. Drink more water Adriana...it's good for your skin.
Party, Sleep, Repeat...Saturday night was more debauchery, me and my girlfriend Gracie decided it would be fun to wear matching outfits for a laugh. So we pooled our resources together and came up with what she described as " The Mac Girl Look" .. It just made the night fun, and we all got our last hurrahs on the dancefloor at the big bash.
Late night brought us to Dr Z's After Party in his hotel suite....which was packed wall to wall with a who's who and lots of pretty ladies....we all made ourselves right at home
What did I learn at First Event? Well nothing really ...which is my fault I didn't REALLY participate in any of the workshops or seminars.....I really just went to see what an event like this was like, I have never been to a Conference or Convention like this before. I do recommend if you ARE interested in learning more about yourself, your crossdressing situation, or taking things to the next level to definitely attend one of these conferences. I hear they are already set up for First Event 2016. I would like to go back again next year and dive in a little deeper. Thank you Amber Dubois, Amber Shibari, Gracie & Marie for the photos. And thanks to all the girls who made that event so much fun xoxo
